Georges Coste Art Deco Terracotta of Woman with Borzoi

Item #2772 SOLD

Large French very high-quality terracotta figural group of a lady and Borzoi dog. The piece is quite impressive, the woman stares out into the world as the dog stares at the woman? The details in the piece are great, very detailed work and lots of fine details. Take special note of the hair, fingers, and the look of love on the dog’s face. The stylized lady sits approx. The sculpture is signed Coste, marked with the Susse Freres Foundry seal. Cast in the lost wax technique Cire perdue. France, 1930.

We also have the same piece executed in bronze.
