Zenith Model 9-S-30 Tombstone (1936) Art Deco Bluetooth Tube Radio

Item #3107 SOLD

Zenith Model 9-S-30 Tombstone (1936) Art Deco Bluetooth Tube Radio. This model is a rare one, as they were expensive in the depths of the Depression. This was one of the models that employed a console chassis in a large table-style cabinet. Professionally refinished with an exacting eye to originality. The pictures clearly document the expertise of the completed work. The radio retains the factory-installed speaker cloth and the iconic “Z” wood knobs. The multi-colored dial is pristine. This model also offers micro/macro tuning for the finest tuning and reception.

We have added an input jack in the back that allows you to plug in any 1/8 inch jack for use with Bluetooth, computers, or other hardware. There is also a toggle switch that will allow you to turn off the radio and use this input to play through the tube/chassis and speakers.  The sheer size and sound quality of this model make this radio a true delight to listen to and enjoy. With the mini-jack, you can input from any modern device and enjoy any of the unlimited content you might wish to hear. This means you can choose your own content using your phone, Ipad, or computer, or record player.

Access your old vinyl, or tune into Pandora, Apple Music, or the playlist on your computer to provide the tunes and use the Bluetooth connection to bring the warm, bright, analog sound of a tube amplifier to any music or recordings you choose. The quality of the sound is excellent – just ask any guitarist since these kinds of tube-based amps are still being made and used today. You will have the best of “digital” and “analog” combined.
