Outstanding Art Deco blue glass Jaeger LeCoultre clock
Item #1470 SOLD
It’s a really lovely clock with the two pieces of cobalt glass for the dial and the blue glass detail on the base, all the glass is original and in perfect condition with no chips or scratches . Original plating is all in good order, the chapter ring is very nice with the block Deco numerals and the contrasting shiny and satin finishes are a nice touch. The 8 day movement is in perfect working order and keeping good time, there is an award plaque on the rear edge of the base dated 18th July 1934 but this can be removed to leave two barely noticeable very small holes
This is a very very nice blue glass Jaeger LeCoultre clock I have, I think it’s quite a special clock and was probably retailed at Asprey’s, they were usually signed across the front of the metal plate but it’s gone from this one due to being handled and cleaned over the years. It’s instantly identifiable as a LeCoultre by the layout of the winding key, hand set knob and regulator window on the rear cover which tells us it’s a high quality jeweled 222 Cal. movement!
