Boch ceramic cloisonné vase with decorative bird. Designed and made during the great period of Charles Catteau. This large vase is very collectible and represents one of great art deco periods of design direction. Animals on decorative items at this time are most popular and have continued to be sought after today by collectors. Ceramic cloisonné (color container by a line), a technique developed to emulate Japanese cloisonné as well. The colors are bright and intense and it is during this period that Catteau and all the designers working at the Boch factory developed some of the most significant pieces in their catalogues.
