Kelety Art Deco Silvered Bronze and Marble Large Eagle Statue Art Deco

Alexandre Kéléty bronze sculpture of a stylized Eagle on marble. Powerful strong statue with a modern feeling. Soft curved lines give the feeling of flight and strength. Many obvious stepped details in the statue base, the marble base, and the way the wings are connected. Signed in the lower part of the bronze Kelety, French 1930s.

Born in Budapest, Kéléty was a disciple of a fellow Hungarian artist and sculptor Imre Simay. Better known for his animalier sculptures. His work is referenced in many books on Art Deco statues. This is an exceptional size and looks very impressive in person.
