An original French art deco sculpture of a triumphant male wearing a loin cloth, known as “Gloire” by Pierre Le Faguays (active in France, born 1892 – died 1962). This piece dates c1920-30. The figure sits on top of a tall black marble plinth.
A patinated high quality art metal (or petite bronze) figure representing Victory, cast as an Olympian male seated with victory laurel held high. Produced in the Max Le Verrier atelier, this piece may have been given as a trophy for an athletic achievement .
