Modernist Constructivist Art Deco Lazy Susan Tray

Item #3493 SOLD

Modernist Constructivist Art Deco Lazy Susan Tray. This dynamic reverse-painted glass tray is extremely rare and a great addition to your Art Deco collection, in both artistic design and cocktail culture.  Constructed with a horizontal banded outside tray and sits on a metal riser allowing the tray to move freely. The colors are generally this bold treatment of red, black, gray & beige.

Constructivists used sparse, geometric forms and modest materials. From paintings to posters to textiles, they created a visual language out of forms that can be drawn with utilitarian instruments. Constructivism is an early twentieth-century art movement founded in 1915 by Vladimir Tatlin and Alexander Rodchenko
