Silvered plated bronze Art Deco horse bookends by Jacques Cartier (French, 1907–2001). Both signed Jacques Cartier in lower area and both on a black marble base. Made in France, circa 1930. Cubist sculpture of an equestrian horse with bold mane. Exceptional pair. Jacque Cartier was also well known for doing cubist animal car mascots.
