Art Deco Dog Statue by Rochard

Item #2161 SOLD

Elegant and regal Greyhound Dogs are the subject of this Art Deco bronze sculpture by Irenee Rochard. The two dogs are in contrasting poses, one standing tall with ears erect and the other in the sharply hunched position of a racing or hunting dog. The Greyhound echoes the symbols of speed and dynamic movement that characterized the art deco era.

Both figurals are mounted on a beautiful base which has been crafted in three colors of marble. The signature Rochard is etched in this stone.
