Complete Art Deco Silverware Service for 12 by Ravinet d'Enfert of France

Item #3252 SOLD

A flawless and complete silver service for 12 with ten pieces in each place setting and  twelve  unique serving pieces by the French company Ravinet d’Enfert. Nestled in a beautiful wooden silverware chest with a fitted felt lining that holds each piece in place while protecting the finish from scratches and tarnish.

In fact, you will find that every piece is perfect which makes it an outstanding  ”future heirloom’, something to give as a wedding gift or to treat yourself to the experience of high style dining and entertaining.

The French company was started in 1882 by Louis Ravinet and joined by Charles d’Enfert in 1891. Between 1925 and 1940 they were well known and highly regarded for their sleek and restrained Art Deco designed flatware that was a departure from the ornate work they had previously done. Elegant in simplicity and luxurious to the touch, we think that after eating with “maillechort argente” 100 gram silver  You may never want to use stainless steel again!

The name of this pattern is simply called “France” – pictured in this 1930s advertisement at “two o’clock “
