Art Deco Sterling Silver Chanukah Menorah with Removable Star of David
Art Deco Sterling Silver Chanukah Menorah with Removable Star of David
This iconic sterling silver Chanukah menorah dates from the Art Deco era and combines traditional Jewish symbolism with the strong geometric design of the period. Its eight angular branches rise symmetrically from a slender central column, while the elevated shamash completes the classic nine light arrangement.
The substantial base features a wonderful stepped architectural design with decorative detailing and small raised feet. These strong horizontal lines and graduated levels give the menorah a distinctive Art Deco character while providing a stable foundation for the branching form above.
A particularly notable feature is the removable Star of David at the top. It can be detached for easier transport or storage, or removed between holy days to transform the menorah into an elegant decorative candelabra. Both ceremonial and practical, this is a beautiful example of Art Deco Judaica in sterling silver.
