Luc Lanel was a renowned French designer and silversmith who worked for Christofle, a prestigious silverware and jewelry company.

The vase is crafted using a technique called "Dinanderie," which involves the use of mixed metals. In this case, the metals used are bronze and copper. The vase features a distinctive scale or comma pattern, which adds a textural and visual element to its design. It is stamped on the bottom Christofle with other marks, of the highest quality construction. A pleasing shape with 4 bronze/copper handles that balance the overall look.

During the Art Deco period, which spanned the 1920s and 1930s, there was a strong emphasis on geometric shapes, luxurious materials, and intricate craftsmanship. The Dinanderie technique was popular during this time as it allowed for the creation of unique and visually striking pieces.

Christofle is known for its high-quality silverware and decorative objects, and its collaboration with Luc Lanel resulted in many remarkable designs. The Dinanderie Mixed Metal Vase is an excellent representation of the Art Deco style and exemplifies the innovative use of materials and techniques during that era.
