Pair of Art Deco Two Tone Silvered Bronze Jardinières
Pair of Art Deco Two Tone Silvered Bronze Jardinières
An elegant and unusual pair of Art Deco bronze jardinières featuring a sophisticated combination of silvered and gold toned finishes. Their substantial construction, deep sculptural relief, and richly contrasting metals give these decorative planters an impressive architectural presence.
The broad upper bowls are surrounded by a repeating pattern of raised stylized leaves, each modeled with strong geometric lines and dimensional detailing. Textured silvered panels form the lower body, while the gold toned rim, trim, handles, and decorative feet provide a warm contrast to the cooler silver finish.
Particularly interesting are the open geometric handles and suspended ring details, which add movement to the otherwise substantial forms. Small sculptural feet complete the design and raise each jardinière slightly above the surface.
Made from heavy bronze and exceptionally well constructed, the pair has been professionally restored to a like new condition. They may be used as planters, centerpiece bowls, or simply displayed as decorative sculptures on a console, dining table, or sideboard.
Their unusual design, impressive materials, and beautiful restoration make these a distinctive pair of Art Deco decorative objects.
A lucky find, especially for something so elaborate in its ornamentation.

We think orchids would be the perfect flowers to grow in these, or lush, cascading ferns.
