Art Deco Muller Frères Glass and Wrought Iron Table Lamp
A classic French Art Deco table lamp featuring a beautifully molded Muller Frères glass shade supported by a refined wrought iron base. The thick satin glass, known in French as verre satiné, is deeply molded with bold geometric patterns that capture the distinctive style of the 1920s.
This type of decorative glass was made famous by leading French makers such as Lalique, Daum, Gallé, and Muller Frères. When illuminated, the shade produces a soft ivory glow that highlights its sculptural design and provides warm, flattering light.
The wrought iron base has an appealing textured finish with delicate beaded detailing along its central column. Elegant yet highly functional, the lamp would make a striking bedside light, desk lamp, or decorative accent.
Muller Frères was a family operated glassworks established in Lunéville, France. Several members of the Muller family had previously worked with Émile Gallé before creating their own extensive range of Art Nouveau and Art Deco lamps, vases, and decorative glass.
