French Style Art Deco Hand Forged Iron Hall Tree with Mirror
French Style Art Deco Hand Forged Iron Hall Tree with Mirror
This substantial Art Deco hall tree is handmade in the traditional French fer forgé technique associated with celebrated metalworkers such as Edgar Brandt, Paul Kiss, and Raymond Subes. Designed for an entrance hall or foyer, it combines a large central mirror with iron hooks for hats and coats, along with lower compartments for umbrellas and walking sticks.
The elaborate structure is filled with strong geometric ornamentation, including layered horizontal lines, stepped details, openwork panels, and a deeply worked central relief. Every surface reveals hand hammered detailing, all finished in a richly patinated dark graphite tone that emphasizes the texture and craftsmanship of the ironwork.
Exceptionally heavy and constructed in two sections for installation, this is both an impressive decorative statement and a highly functional piece of furniture. Handmade and hand finished from raw iron, it requires very little maintenance and was created to withstand generations of use.
