French Art Deco Amboyna Burl Armoire, Book or Storage Cabinet
French Art Deco 4 door armoire circa 1930′s. This cabinet has been professionally restored (not over-restored) with a hand rubbed quality finish (not like some of those glossy sprays using polyurethane). Custom made copper and brass door handles recently added. Each door is quality and interior shelves are made of real wood with also beautiful veneer. This would make a great bookshelf or bedroom pieces with a lot of storage. This is an exceptional piece of furniture, modernist design and stair-stepped design.
The amboyna wood is as good as it gets. My favorite wood ever. You only see this wood used in the best of French Art Deco furniture. It was never used for medium or average production. The wood veneer is a dynamic blistered burl with an intensity that makes this piece of furniture a real addition to any room in the house.
