1930s Art Deco Woman's Head and Hands Ceramic Sculpture

This glamorous ceramic sculpture of a woman's head, neck and hands is strikingly reminiscent of the ceramic sculptures by famed Austrian artist, Friedrich Goldscheider. With this sculpture, it appears the artist has captured the elusive expression of a beautiful woman in love. There is a painstaking level of detail in the face, the elaborate glossy cream-colored curls and the delicate black gloves. The glossy red lips, finely arched white eyebrows and dreamy eyes lined in white contrast dramatically with the perfectly complected matte black face.
