Rare Longwy Primavera Art Deco Cloisonné Vase, circa 1925
Bold color and an Africanist theme distinguish this exceptionally rare French Art Deco vase, made circa 1925 by Longwy for Atelier Primavera, the design studio of the celebrated Paris department store Les Grands Magasins du Printemps.
The vivid palette gives the vase a striking presence, while the precise cloisonné detailing reflects Longwy’s mastery of decorative ceramics. A subtle pale green cast softens the white crackle glaze, adding an intriguing dimension to the rich color treatment.
