French Longwy Peacock Wall Charger by R. Rizzi, Limited Edition

The deeply formed charger is decorated in Longwy’s distinctive crackle glaze, with brilliant enameled colors set against a craquelé white ground. Metallic gold accents highlight the peacock’s elaborate tail feathers, the fruit in the trees, and the centers of the vivid red flowers, giving the composition added depth and richness.

The combination of the dramatic peacock imagery, intense color, and unusually large scale makes this an especially decorative example of Longwy ceramic artistry. Produced as a limited edition of only 30 examples, this piece is numbered 10/30.

A wire is attached to the back for wall hanging, allowing this impressive charger to be displayed as a substantial work of decorative art.
