Ceramics & Glass
Karl Palda, one of the most celebrated Bohemian glass designers, established his workshop in Haida (Nový Bor), the glassmaking center of Czechoslovakia, where he became known for combining machine-age angular forms with artistic hand-enamel decoration. His designs were widely exported throughout Europe and beyond, symbolizing a new modern lifestyle of elegance and refinement. The matching six liqueur glasses mirror the decanter’s angular profile, with their black enamel V-shaped motifs accentuating the architectural quality of each piece. Together, the set exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship and stylistic innovation that placed Bohemian glass at the forefront of international Art Deco design.
