Czech Art Deco Decanter Set with Twelve Matching Glasses
Czech Art Deco Decanter Set with Twelve Matching Glasses
A streamlined Art Deco decanter set made in Czechoslovakia, dating from the late 1930s. The tall conical decanter is paired with twelve matching glasses, including six smaller and six larger examples. Each piece is decorated with concentric etched bands that create a clean geometric rhythm across the clear glass.
Black glass accents on the stopper and the bases of the glasses add a strong contrast and give the set its sophisticated modern character. Although it would fit comfortably within a Mid Century interior, the design reflects the high style and geometric refinement of late Art Deco glassware.
The exceptional feature is the unusually complete group of twelve matching glasses. Most period sets survive with only four or six glasses, and sometimes only a pair. Finding both sizes together with the original decanter makes this a particularly rare and impressive set for display, entertaining, or a serious collection of European cocktail glassware.
