Art Deco Style “Spirit of Electricity” Bronze Wall Relief
A striking bronze wall relief celebrating electrical power through the bold visual language of Art Deco. A muscular male figure holds two dramatic lightning bolts above a stylized industrial skyline, bringing together human strength, energy and the architecture of the modern city. The symmetrical composition and sharply defined geometry give this compact piece a monumental presence.
The bronze surface combines textured recesses with smoother raised details, allowing light to accentuate the figure, lightning bolts and stepped buildings. Its warm patina adds depth and character. The lower border bears the inscription Boston Electric Power Co., with the name “Remington” appearing vertically along the lower right side.
Measuring approximately 12 inches wide by 18 inches tall, the plaque makes a distinctive wall hanging for an Art Deco interior, office or collection of industrial design. Its architectural imagery and dimensional relief express the machine age fascination with electricity and progress. Surface variations and small marks are visible in the photographs.
