Art Deco Statue of The Pheasant, signed Rochard

Outstanding statue of The Pheasant with lots of details and enamel gilding on a white metal surface. This piece has great art deco style and it is completely original from France circa 1930 with NO restoration. Look at the beautiful artistry of the repeated plumage styled in a circular pattern. Also notice then alternating plumes of gold and grey to outline the birds wings. This piece is signed on the marble "Rochard" a name synonymous with quality French sculpture design, specializing in animal figures.. Great detail also outline the face. We have had a few pieces in the past 6 years with this "Great Pheasant" point of view and this one also stands out as a great rendering. Unusual original marble base with brown and black checkerboard treatment.
