Art Deco Fish Sculpture Bookends
Gilded bookends of two tropical fish on marble bases circa 1930. These are patinated in an interesting combination of silver bodies with gold tails and fins. The bodies of the fish are, naturally, done in a carved “fish scale pattern” that is actually referred to in wallpaper, fabric and graphic design as “Art Deco Fishscale” . Here it is portrayed as Mother Nature intended!
A glamorous addition to your library bookshelf or office desk.
