Hungarian Bronze Dancer

An elegant gilded bronze statue of a woman dancing with a scarf. Made in 1930′s Hungary, and signed by Elek Lux. Elek Lux (1884-1941) was an important Hungarian artist who created portraits and statues of female nudes. He taught sculpture at the School of Applied Arts in Budapest. Nine of his sculptures are in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
