An original French Travel Poster for the Côte d'Azur. This one with it's design referencing a "view through the window" both promotes the romance of the beautiful seaside resort of the Côte d'Azur on the French Riviera and also the charm of train travel, The text lets us know that you can board the train tonight and in the morning you will be at the Côte d'Azur.
The artist was Roland Hugon who did other posters for the Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer. (National railroad) among a series of travel posters with bold imagery and a distinctive style that captured "movement", in trains, cars, skis and sports .
This piece, printed in Paris in the 1940s is in excellent condition has been professionally linen backed.
