Art Deco Brass Candelabras from Austria
Item #3139
A pair of original 1920′s Art Deco Candleabras crafted in brass with exceptional detailing. These lovely pieces have an interesting mix of embellishments With cross hatch embossed candle cups, lotus leaves and curves. These were made in Austria, a country that embraced the Art Nouveau period and was one of the first to create a transition to the ornate style of Art Deco we often associate with France but that actually had its beginnings in Eastern Europe.
Most of the time we at ArtDecoCollection.com are not influenced by current trends in home fashion. We consider Art Deco to be the very height of style so we pay less attention to what is popular “right now”, but in this case, we have noticed that brass (and all things “golden”) have been incorporated more and more in contemporary decor. So these candelabra would be a perfect way to capture the romance of the past with a nod to the present .
The “Great Gatsby” style is popular for formal dinners now
