Faceted Art Deco Champagne Bucket WIne Cooler

This is a handsome, heavily plated silver champagne bucket/ wine cooler .  It would go well with any style of decor…it is, quite simply, a classic!  The light bounces beautifully off the faceted sides . This is  from Argentina where there are two great traditions in silver.

Much of what we have been able to find there oridinates from Germany and is dated between 1906 and the early 1920s. But Argentina also developed its own silver fabrication. In fact, the word “argent” means “silver” and many silversmiths re located to South America  from Europe in the early decades of the 20th century .
