Silver Jardinieres- a Pair by WMF

This is a pair of  silver-plated jardinieres  of German origin by the company WMF. There has been some restoration done to them and what you see is newly restored silver-plating throughout. With its great, simple repeated stylized vine and flower motif, it has its elements of Art Nouveau design, but works  well with Art Deco. Notice the nice faceted raised tapered lines which surround both pieces. These would be perfect to  to use on a large dining buffet as ice buckets  and they make spectacular plant holders. Imagine them  with rich red poinsettias at Christmas time . So many possibilities and so nice to find something of this vintage in a pair.
