The square shape of the tea and coffee pot is distinctive as well. It is important to note that there were more than fifty different porcelain manufacturers and decorators in the 1920s, each with a separate name and distinct style. "Limoges" (often mistaken for a brand name) is actually the region of France with exceptionally fine clay that is used in the creation of china pieces. Porcelain is not "by Limoges", it is actually "from Limoges" and boasts fine, nearly translucent whites with either hand painted or hand transferred designs.
