This rare and charming cocktail pick holder is a whimsical piece of vintage English barware, created by the prestigious luxury house Asprey & Co., known for its refined silver and bespoke sporting accessories. Dating to the 1930s–1950s, the design cleverly references the “19th Hole”—a term affectionately used to describe the post-round cocktail shared in the clubhouse.
Expertly crafted in silverplate, the piece is mounted on a circular stepped base and features a finely detailed golf ball formed from a composite resin material, topped by a vertical shaft and carousel-style crown. Around the top are slots holding the originaleight silverplate cocktail picks, each capped with a miniature red enamel flag marked “19th”, lending playful charm and thematic cohesion. The vertical spindle is topped with a silver finial, completing the composition with elegant proportion.
This collectible object is fully stamped “Asprey & Co.” on the base, confirming its origin from one of Britain’s most iconic silversmiths. The condition is excellent for its age, with a well-preserved surface showing only minor patina and light wear consistent with vintage use.
