This extraordinary extra large French Art Deco ceramic vase by Longwy features a dramatic gourd shaped form decorated in brilliant shades of cobalt blue, turquoise, cream, green, and golden brown. Repeated floral and leaf motifs surround the lower body, creating a rich and dynamic pattern rarely encountered in Longwy pottery.

The elongated upper section is divided into bold geometric panels of crackled cream glaze outlined in deep blue. Pointed turquoise details lead into the floral decoration below, while the triangular motif at the base echoes the angular design found throughout the vase.
