Custom Art Deco Gilbert Rohde Style Desk or Vanity Table
This custom Art Deco desk or vanity table has a sculptural design inspired by the work of Gilbert Rohde. Its generously proportioned top features an unusual faceted edge, while the carefully matched wood grain creates a warm and cohesive appearance throughout the piece.
The top is supported by two substantial curved pedestal columns, each fitted with three drawers to provide six useful storage compartments. The writing surface has recently been refinished, and the desk is ready for immediate use.
Its versatile design makes it equally suitable as an executive desk, writing table, dressing table, or bedroom vanity. The clean curves and architectural form would work beautifully in an Art Deco interior while also complementing a sophisticated Midcentury Modern room.
The piece was custom made for our shop by one of the cabinetmaking companies with which we have worked in Argentina. It combines strong visual design with excellent storage and everyday practicality.
