Art Deco Czech Opalescent Glass Decanter Set with Six Glasses
Art Deco Czech Opalescent Glass Decanter Set with Six Glasses
This Art Deco opalescent glass decanter set was made in Czechoslovakia during the 1920s and includes the original stepped decanter with six matching glasses. Each piece is decorated with fine vertical gilded detailing, giving the set a delicate architectural rhythm that is both refined and unmistakably Art Deco. The soft opalescent glass has a subtle glowing quality, while the gold banding adds a rich decorative finish.
Remarkably, every piece still retains its original gold embossed “Made in Czechoslovakia” label, suggesting that the set was never used and remained carefully stored since the Deco period. The condition is perfect, with the original gilding, labels, decanter, stopper, and six matching glasses all beautifully preserved.
Czech glass from this period is known for bold geometric design, fine craftsmanship, and exceptional decorative finishes. While many Czech Art Deco glass pieces are dramatic and colorful, this set is more restrained, elegant, and unusually graceful. It would make a beautiful addition to a cocktail cabinet, bar display, or Art Deco interior.
