French Art Deco Burl Walnut and Macassar/Rosewood Ebony Desk and Chair

Exotic woods, combined with a unique French European cantilevered desk top design. I have never seen a design like this. Artistic book matched veneers creating one style, mixed with straight grain rosewood (or is it macassar) as a sort of juxtaposition. Look closely as the desk top floats off the anchored side with multiple drawers and storage on both sides. A kind of streamlined partners desk concept offering great storage and design.

This fabulous desk also is accompanied by a matching chair. The condition is excellent, restored a few years back with a few marks from use, but does not take away from the stunning wood grains. and original drawer and door handles. My guess is circa 1928-1930. The size is very compact because of the cantilevered top so it would be great in a home office, waiting room or study.
