French Art Deco Club Chairs in style of André Groult

Elegant French Club chairs in the style of André Groult. Newly refurbished utilizing fabric reminiscent of Shagreen, a sharkskin used as a decorative material  for fine unique objects from the French art deco period. These chairs are luxurious, comfortable and shapely, offering a seating option unique to any other club chairs we've had in the past.

Notice the graining treatment emphasizing the pattern of the fabric. The wood frame has clean lines that flow based on the unusual shape of the frame.  These certainly are not anything you would normally consider as your typical "club chair".

André Groult was a French decorator and designer of French furniture. Much of his work can be described as art deco, with curving and organic shapes, and Groult's work has been described as compromising between tradition and modernism
