A most unusual Art Deco decanter and six glasses by Baccarat in perfect condition and ready for toasting! The drinking cups have a nice feel, size and weight. The frosted and etched design is geometric and stylish. The faceted sides of the decanter evoke the feeling of a cut diamond and the stopper is like a gem set atop the decanter.
This beautiful set was found in Buenos Aires with the original label still on the base of the decanter from the shop on Florida Street where it was sold. The lettering has faded but the address is still partially visible, informing us that this came from a time when glamorous, high end shops lined Calle Florida and the city was full of wealth and good taste.
Baccarat is a French company with a history that stretches back 250 years. Its gorgeous crystal and glass pieces are sold the world over and highly prized and collectible.
