1930s Art Deco Glass and Chrome Service Cart
Item #1181 SOLD
Here’s a nifty, convertible 1930s Art Deco Service Cart made of gleaming chrome and glass. I believe it was originally designed to be used as a dessert cart. All four of the glass sides of the cart double as doors that swing down for easy access to the main compartment. Additionally, the protective and nicely beveled glass top doubles as an elegant glass handled serving tray. This wonderful piece can be wheeled about a room or the wheels may be removed in order to make the piece more stationary. This clever cart would certainly be a handy addition to any room (particularly the dining room) and could be used as a dessert cart, bar cart, tea cart or even just a little extra space while entertaining.
