Hermes-Paris Crocodile Skin 4 piece Desk Set French Art Deco

French Art Deco by Hermes, very fine four- piece desk set in rich deep brown crocodile skin. May have been designed by Paul Dupré-Lafon for Hermes best known for these highly stylized fancy desk suits.

Each piece is engraved (not stamped) with the name Hermès Paris (makes it more unusual and rare). The set is in excellent original condition. Desk blotter has original blotter paper surrounded  with cut-out

lining in a  soft brushed lambskin with pockets lined in jacquard silk. The note pad has a similar treatment and also includes the original paper in the pad. Appears the set was never used.

Also included is a very unusual fancy engraved letter opener  with Hermes name engraved protected in original felt sheath. The Hand blotter has a very nice feel, a fitted shape with metal for blotter paper in excellent condition. All the brass fittings/hinges on the note pad and blotter in excellent like new condition.

These vintage Hermes-Paris products have become quite collectible and important. The quality and designs are the most sought after for fine personal leather products. Although the company is still actively in business manufacturing high end designer products, this wonderful
