1930s European Portable Phonograph • Victor Victrola
Item #1187 SOLD
Own a piece of authentic Art Deco audiophile history. This Victor Victrola was made circa 1930s by the Victor Talking Machine Company of Camden, New Jersey for European export. It has been recently serviced and is in wonderful working condition. This is a crank model and as such uses no electricity – just a teensy bit of elbow grease. Yes, it is assuredly one of the original green products. Energy conservation aside, this is a little beauty with a big sound and begs to be played and enjoyed. How romantic, to put an old 78RPM of Bing Crosby singing “When The Blue Of The Day Meets The Gold Of The Night” and having a slow dance with your sweetie right in your own living room. With this portable model, you might even have that dance in the backyard…or on your yacht!
