Zenith Art Deco Radio Shutter Dial 9S365 Stars and Bars Tube with Bluetooth

Original 1939 Zenith 9-Tube with a large acoustic adapter speaker.  Sought after black Shutter Dial Model 9-S-365 Serial # R90645906. Sometimes described as a ‘World Fair’ model (1939)  and/or ‘stars and bars” patriotic model. The larger 9-S-365, which used the 9-S-262 cabinet, this nine-tube, three-band (SB, 2xSW) has been completely restored and refinished from top to bottom adding an additional 1/8th inch outlet for Bluetooth or auxiliary out/in use.

The large round oval in which the dial is centered is its striking feature. Constructed of fine walnut veneers, including matched burl walnut, really a high point in mass-produced cabinetry. We have completely refinished the cabinet and have restored the electronics for optimal enjoyment and also added the auxiliary jack that allows you to “pipe” music from your smartphone, iPod, etc. through the radio to enjoy more than just the few AM radio stations. The radio has all factory original knobs, grill cloth,  and speaker. The shutter dial is clean with no crazing or deterioration.
