Bronze Art Deco "Profile Feminine" by Italian artist Guido Cacciapuoti

This large impressive and very beautiful Art Deco bronze and marble bust of a twenties beauty was made in Italy in about 1930. It is wonderfully stylized and elegant and is an extremely impressive piece. It is signed by G. Cacciapuoti as shown in the last images. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. It has a good warm patina with just normal signs of usage. It is guaranteed to be an original Art Deco bronze circa 1930.
During n the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods there were three main centers for artistic bronze sculpture in Europe. Paris was a Mecca for artists from throughout Europe with Demetre Chiparus perhaps the master. Other notable Parisian artists included Philippe, Bouraine and Le Faguays. In Vienna, Austria Joseph Lorenzl Bruno Zach and Franz Bergman were the leading lights whilst in Berlin Ferdinand Preiss and Otto Poertzel shared a studio and produced figures of outstanding artistic merit and quality.
