Art Deco Equestrian Rider with Horse by Charles for Max Le Verrier

Art Deco Statue by C. Charles  cast in the Max Le Verrier Foundry.  The title of the piece is “Appel” ( The Call. The circa 1930′s angular wedged stone base is signed Marco. Stunning and very rare, a truly magnificent showpiece. The sculpture depicts an Olympian male trumpet blower next to his leaping horse, holding him in place by the reins’. A high quality, well made French statue crafted in bronzed metal and has a beautiful greenish bronze  patina, typical of this period from Le Verrier Atelier.
