Classic Art Deco bronze, the female form, from the Greek mythology "Venus on the Half-shell". This is a wonderful and high quality bronze, lots of details. A beautiful rendering of a woman with flowing long hair, holding a water jug, inside a stylized art deco 1/2 shell, nice details on here hands, face and feet. There is no signature, but this obviously had to be rendered by a fine high artist. The patina of the bronze is that beautiful bronzy brown, looks great mounted on a nice black marble base with white veins.
