Art Deco Bronze Statue Woman & Borzoi Dog by Molins
Art Deco bronze statue of woman & borzoi dog by Charles Henri Molins. Quality sculpture in silvered bronze and enamel on a portoro marble base (also signed on the base). This 1930 statue is emblematic of the Art Deco period. In the woman's stylized dress with a matching cloche hat, the Borzoi dog looks up adoringly at her in a very relaxed pose on the portoro marble wall. The epitome of Art Deco.
The sculptor Charles Henri Molins was known for quality sculptures depicting women, some with animals including birds.
