French Art Deco Statue Lamp by Balleste

French rare art deco statue/lamp combination. It is done in cold painted cast metal, patinated and all original. The lamp is signed Balleste on the back foot of the woman. Very much in the tradition of the famous Max Le Verrier Clarte figurine. The stepped marble base allows for perfect symmetry between this lovely art deco lady as she reaches out to the world.  Original finish with glass globe covering its bayonet socket. It provides  great accent and ambient mood light.

Enrique Molins -Balleste was from Barcelona, Spain, but lived and worked in Paris. His sculptures are sometimes signed Molins, sometimes Balleste and occasionally , simply BAL.
