Cubist Terracotta Violin Gypsy French Art Deco

Unusual terra-cotta figurine (French 1930's). This cubist inspired piece is beautifully created and quite lyrical in its final execution. It is reminiscent of the work of many great French artists, alongside the cubist movement. The realistic face and violin, along with the whimsy of the clothing give it a deeply touching quality. The sculpture is signed R. Pajot, and measures 6" W x 5" D x 20" H.
