Art Deco Austrian bronze, mythological figure of Icarus by the artist L Salat 20th Century. Unique piece in both silver and gold finish. Incredible details of the wingspan, the feathers, and how it all attaches. Newly restored and signed on the base SALAT Austria. The piece is mounted on an original rounded portoro marble base and would look great on your desk, mantle or shelf. The piece also looks as interesting from the back as it does from the front.
In doing our research on this artist, we have learned that the name L Salat is also associated as the Austrian pseudonym for the artist Bruno Zach.
