About Maredsous Métiers D'Art:
Maredsous Abbey is a Benedictine monastery at Denéenear Namur in Belgium. It was founded on November 15, 1872. Maredsous founded Métiers School of The Arts to serve as a centre for fine arts and crafts. The school's activities were curtailed by World War I and it was almost closed down in 1919, but it survived by widening its work in a more modern style for outside customers.
