This is a very unique painting by Claude Lacaze, depicting circus acrobats, musicians, and animals. This is a modernist painting, with a cubist influence, of a fun and whimsical subject matter. The painter Claude Lacaze was born in France in 1938. He studied art in Bordeaux, had a one-man exhibition at Paris Rue Visconti, and was a professor of fine art at the College de Puyguilen. He was also a member of the La Maison des Artistes society. This painting (including the frame) measures 25" W x 29.5" T.
